On the momentous occasion of Foundation Day 2024 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), I extend my heartfelt greetings to each one of you. From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

Indian sages and wise men have called knowledge (Vidya) as the means of man’s liberation. Man has desired freedom from fear, hunger, vices, bad tendencies, bad conduct, weakness, poverty and inferiority, disease, grief etc. since time immemorial. The above Mahavakya of Shri Vishnu Puran gives the message that man should strive to get freedom from all his troubles through knowledge. Knowledge is the fruit of sacrifice and penance, hence the attainment of knowledge is always hard work. Come, let us all be disciplined, use all the available resources with dedication and make a sincere effort to acquire knowledge. By incorporating proper diet, behavior and thoughts in our daily routine, let us make the infinite possibilities given by nature to us as a person flourish and blossom in the light of the sacred energy of knowledge. We all recite this sutra from Taittreya Upanishad of Krishna Yajurveda every day in the morning prayer assembly in our schools. Come, let us understand the great message hidden in this sutra and imbibe it in our lives and do our daily work. I send my heartfelt best wishes to all the principals, teachers, students, officers and personnel of Gurugram division and wish them a successful and happy future.

This Vidyalaya endeavors to provide the best possible environment to nourish the talents and innate abilities of the students. Our aim is not only to help them excel academically but also to inculcate in them the qualities of the head and heart so that they are able to meet all the challenges of life with great courage and confidence. Our teachers are working hard towards the overall development of the personality of students and to make them disciplined citizens of tomorrow.
